Australian Prime Ministers Centre—new location!

The Australian Prime Ministers Centre is now open in its new location, on the main floor of the House of Representatives wing, just past the Speaker's Suite. The expanded Centre occupies most of this wing, with over 400 metres of material housed in former ministerial suites. Come in and browse our collection of publications on Australia's prime ministers, parliamentary practices, political history and democratic development. The centre also provides internet access, a dedicated reference librarian and open shelf access to Commonwealth Parliamentary Debates (Hansards) and Parliamentary Papers.

The research centre has revised its opening hours to Monday to Friday, 10.00am to 4.00pm. The research centre is closed on all national and ACT public holidays. Access to the Research Centre outside these hours can be arranged for pre-booked groups and individuals.

New location for exhibition

The Prime Ministers of Australia exhibition is now located in the main exhibition precinct, just behind Kings Hall. The exhibition forms part of the core galleries of Australian Democracy.

The Prime Ministers of Australia exhibition is open daily, 9.00am-5.00pm (excluding Christmas Day).
